They care whether the ingredients are fresh, and whether there are artificial colors or unnecessary additives. That attention to food comes from wanting them to eat well and live better.
So why shouldn't every meal for aquatic pets
get that same care?
That is why Ultra Fresh began. Our team combines fishkeeping experience with expertise in animal nutrition. Starting from our own aquariums, we set out to make food based on natural, fresh ingredients for the pets we love.
01Ingredients
Real food should start
with whole ingredients.
Fresh meat, vegetables and algae are where our thinking on every formula begins. We want what they eat each day to be carefully made from these ingredients, balancing flavor and nutrition.
After trying many different ingredient combinations, we chose fresh wild sword prawns caught off the coast of Yilan, Taiwan, as the main ingredient of Shrimp Delight. We then pair them with other protein sources and plant ingredients to suit each aquatic pet's diet, nutritional needs and feeding habits.
From ingredient quality to nutritional balance, every ingredient we choose has a reason rooted in what they need.

Keeping natural flavor and nutrition
in every bite.
Good ingredients deserve to be treated with care.
We cook at low temperatures to reduce nutrient loss and preserve the ingredients' natural flavor, and we design both the formula and the process around digestibility, pellet quality and shelf life.
We add no artificial colors, chemical attractants, flavorings or preservatives, so the natural flavor of the ingredients themselves is what tempts them to take that first bite.
From ingredients to finished product, we care not only about the moment it is made, but also about how it keeps over time, and the bite they actually eat once it is in the water.
03Research
So even the most discerning little gourmets
can't resist natural flavor.
That hope led us to invest five years in research and development.
Without relying on chemical attractants or flavorings, finding flavors fish will happily eat isn't easy. We kept trying combinations of fresh ingredients, repeatedly adjusting ingredient pairings and pellet forms while still meeting everyday nutritional needs.
From the very first bite to long-term feeding, we watch whether they eat eagerly and find each bite easy to take, and we track whether they keep coming back for more, along with body condition, vitality and health.
Candidate formulas are first tested at our own test farm, then at partner farms. When we find a problem, we bring it back to investigate and adjust, using feeding records and data analysis to ground every improvement.
Food they want to eat, can eat easily and can make the most of: that's what our research keeps working toward.
