After researching nutrition for my aquariums I have firm confidence with Ultra Fresh Tropical Fish Food products. The 20 gallon was preparing itself while waiting over a year for the Neon Tetra family. In preparation for the delivery of 30 I purchased a container of the Ultra Fresh Tetra food.Today Dec 8, 2023 is the second day that my Neon Tetra family is home. They have been acclimated and the light turned off since yesterday. I let them wake up and then gave them their first breakfast which they devoured. It is good to note that the food container top has many little holes but only one is perforated. I shake a small amount into my palm and crush it even more and pinch bits into the aquarium. A little goes a long way!Update photo number one is feeding on day three Saturday Dec 9th. I was too late for an update video that had them so happy frantic but I think these first impressions are the most telling. The video, which speaks for itself, is from day four December 10. This 20 gallon aquarium is dedicated to the Neon Tetras. It is not my intention of adding any other species including catfish to the aquarium.Although the Tetra pellets are tiny, I do crush the pellets, turn off the filter and put small pinches in the water so as not to add too much. The Neon Tetras are shy so they’ll eat and play and then they all eat again so I let them eat for about 10 minutes. Neons let you know when they want to eat by swimming high in the water and when they’re done by just remaining near the bottom playing. The stillness of the water while they are eating lets the surface eating Neons create some of the slow sinking pellets.I have the Ultra Fresh guppy food and the catfish food for the 75 gallon aquarium. Ultra Fresh fish foods are awesome!

I have neons and platys and they love this food. The neons really seem to thrive on it. Its just the right size for their small mouths, and the platys would eat just about anything, but they really go for it too. The small pellets float on the surface of the water a bit but with the filter current they soon fall and fly all around the tank till they hit the bottom, which most of it does not as the fish dart about excitingly eating most of the pellets. What hits the bottom they quickly find and devour. Also since the fish eat it all, there looks like there is not much to break down in the gravel, and I think this helps with keeping the water clear. The small size container actually is quite a bit and I think it will last a long time. This food is not inexpensive but it might be worth it. Previously I was using flakes, and I think my fish were just getting tired of it.

My neon Tetras enjoy this food. I was having a hard time finding food small enough for my Tetras to eat. This food isn't stinky, easy to feed, keeps my fish healthy and happy, easy to keep from over feeding, but I think it's a little on the pricey side. The food has lasted me months. The openings both give to much food in my opinion, so I dump it in my hand and pinch feed my little guys. I'm debating on if its worth the extra few bucks but I'm thinking it is.I think this type of food leaves a film on the top of my tank? But I've had it before this, it could be from my plants. Just something to beware of just in case. If you feed it right it doesn't make a mess of your tank. Feed just enough at a time and your fish should eat it all before it leaves a mess.

I've been using tetramin flakes- this food blows them out of the water. I was confused when I only saw one hole poked for the lid, but it's perfect. It allows me to shake food in like a pepper shaker without dumping too much. No more fish food fingers. My neon tetras showed immediate excitement about this food. And they started feeding in their dedicated zone for the first time whereas before this they preferred sinking to the bottom to steal the catfish food. The food floats and sinks at a near perfect rate for the fish to feed.Pardon my dirty tank. Love this. Will never go back.

Perfect for nano fish and most of fish actually hahaI have tetra neons, strawberry rasboras, pygmy corys, bettas and they all loved it. Also they were kinda picky with the food except for the Betta. I gotta say it's a lot for my nano aquariums haha I have food for like year maybe with this size hahaha ... In fact, if you live somewhere with high humidity environment, store most of the food in the fridge bc the weather can mess up the food. Just use small portions in something more smaller to store it near the fish tank. This is definitely a brand that I'll buy again

My fish absolutely love this food! Including my Pygmy Cory. It’s the perfect size for their tiny mouths so I usually give them a pinch down at the bottom of the tank along with their usual food.I like how small it is too due to it doesn’t dirty the water as much and it helps me gage how mush I’m feedingI appreciate that the bottle is filled completely! The food also isn’t filled with filler ingredients either which is something I really looked for. This little $9 bottle can definitely last me a long time so it’s so worth the money.

The bottle it comes in is a little awkward, you’ll see some tiny holes and a bigger hole for larger pours, both need to be pushed out with something, I just used a tiny screwdriver to poke through the smaller holes since all I have a some small rainbow tetras, the smaller holes help you keep from over feeding and just sprinkle some of the food which is pellet like, not flakes, but the fish seem to love it so I’m giving it a high rating!

A bit on the expensive side, but I only buy fish food once every 6 months or so. These are very small pellets, which works well for my community tank. The ingredients are pretty good, with Sword prawns as the main ingredient (which is a bit unique and seems good). It comes with a shaker top, which is very convenient given the size of the pellets (kind of hard to pick these up with fingers, because they are small).

I love this granular food for my neon tetras! The granules are super-fine, appropriate for even my tiniest tetra. My fish see these things descending from the top of the tank and they scurry around to catch them. Other brands have been slightly too large - my tetras end up spitting them out - but these are perfect! Very happy with this fish food, and based on the size of the container, it’ll last forever.

I was looking for a new type of fish food in addition to tropical flakes and bottom feeder pellets. My tetra fish likes these tiny pellets. The other fish I have are eating this new food as well. I have a few catfish and one plecostomus. The food appears FRESH, containing various ingredients. The container version works conveniently - easy to sprinkle food in the tank without touching food with your fingers.
