This is the second of their products I have tried and again I am impressed. They smell like fresh shrimp (in the good way) and I have to give my cat one when I use them. They do float for a few seconds before dropping. I like this as it gives surface feeders a chance at them. But they do not float long. So far I have not had any left to sit and get gross because nothing wants to eat them. I fed fish and a crayfish. Smaller shrimp nibble at this as well. This even came with a spoon that fits inside the bottle when not in use. Makes it easy to get the food out of the container. But if you lose the spoon because your cat thinks it is a toy, it is easy to just pour into your palm.I got this for review purposes but I will be purchasing again.

Ultra Fresh, by all indications, is a serious, reputable brand. Their top-quality ingredients, including probiotics and specific protein sources (e.g., sword prawn), the elaborate printing and information on the bottle, the build of the bottle itself, endorsements (a well-known zoo), even the included portioning spoon, are evidence of this.Importantly, my juvenile electric blue acaras gobble up these pellets instantly. The pellets contain a high percentage of protein and are designed for carnivorous fish (like my acaras). So they shouldn't be the main food for fish that require a lower protein diet, like Rift Lake cichlids.Keep in mind the pellets are just .12 x .15 inch, so larger fish, like adult Oscars, might ignore them altogether.

I love this fish food and my fish love it too. The pellets sink well, and my cichlids hit the bottom fast and eat it right up with barely any waste. After feeding this consistently, I’ve noticed brighter colors and more energy/stronger activity from my fish, which is exactly what I was hoping for.I also like that it’s made with all natural ingredients and uses prawns as part of the formula, which makes it feel like a higher-quality carnivore diet. No weird smell and it doesn’t instantly cloud my water like some cheaper foods. If you’ve got cichlids (or other carnivore/omnivore fish that prefer sinking pellets), this is an easy recommend.

This year after most of my fish died of old age, I decided to try lake Malawian cichlids. I’ve never kept African cichlids before. Some of them are vegetarians and some carnivores and they have delicate digestive issues. This food has things that these cichlids need to be healthy. The pellets are small enough for young fish, and sink for bottom dwellers to find. Comes with a spoon for measured feeding. Was readily accepted by electric yellows and platinum parrots. I use along with frozen and flake

The Cichlid food is great. I got it for my husbands new fish setup but I tried a little bit for my musk turtles because I give a variety of foods to make sure they get all the nutrients they need and this food was a hit. I have gotten other food from this company for turtles and they like it all. The pellet balls are very tiny and perfect for them. They like sinking food but they attacked it before it sank. The can of food was sealed well and smelled fresh. I recommend highly.

I switched to this brand for our African clawed frogs and decided to try them for our red-eared slider as well. Frankly, I like the ingredients list. I wanted to try something with less filler and was impressed with what I saw on the ingredients label. She's constantly hungry, so I'm sure she'd have eaten whatever, but I feel good knowing I'm giving her something healthier or with more substance when she's not getting fresh veggies and fish.

These are pebble sized fish food. I have goldfish. They love this stuff. I was expecting these pebbles to sink immediately like rocks, but they initially float. My fish ate them so quick, it didn't have a chance to sink.It comes with a long spoon to make the feeding process easy. The price seems on par with the size and quantity of goldfish food I usually buy. But I think this stuff is supposed to be healthier.

In a case of full disclosure, I got these pellets to feed my red eared slider turtles - I am always on the lookout for a high quality fish food pellet to feed my guys, and this one fits the bill perfectlyIt is a great size for small to larger size turtle and has everything that I look for in a food for my turtles - it is a plus that they really like them

These pellets are great. My fish seem to love them and there's been no issues with feeding these. I normally get floating pellets, but these sinking ones are good. I just have to be more mindful of how much I feed each time so that none of them get lost in corners and crevices. Good value as well. Recommended.

My pick eater cichlid is eating every single meal now. While the others fish will eat anything that falls in the water, this pick eater cichlid, that I have for nine years, is now enjoying his food. I would say for him it’s a great food.
