It can be hard to find fish food without artificial dyes, and I'm always looking for different options, especially for my younger, smaller goldfish.My only question about this dye-free fish food is the inclusion of mushroom polysaccharides in the ingredients. I'm not certain if fish would naturally encounter mushrooms in their environment. However, mushrooms are known to offer health benefits for many living creatures, including humans.I also like that this food absorbs water quickly, which means I don't have to wait as long for this to get soft compared to my other fish food pellets. (By the way, I pre-soak my fish food in a shot glass of water before feeding; I believe this practice reduces air bladder issues in my fish.)My fish don't get the "zoomies" for this food, but it is a different shape and a bit larger than their previous food. My fish are growing, though, and do need to graduate to a larger food sizes.Another positive is that this food does not seem to pollute or haze up the water as much as some other foods I use. A bonus is the little spoon that came with it; I really like this spoon and even use it with my other fish foods!I recommend this fish food and its handy little spoon!

This fish food is in small pellet form, and goes to the bottom of our small koi pond. Our fish have always eaten flakes that float on the top of the water, so I wasn’t sure if they would eat this. Once the ‘grandfather’ fish discovered the food, the rest also starting eating. They seemed to like it so much, that the water was actually rippling from their eagerness to get to it.This nutritional food, is definitely of high quality, and the fish seem to have no issues digesting it.For a large pond this may not be cost effective, but for a small pond, aquarium or other small fish container this would be a good value.

Palatable food that the goldfish enjoy eating. The pellets are a little large so may not work for small fish. Mid size fish (2 + inches) have no problem eating the pellets. I like the little scoop but it is a bit messy to pull it in and out so I leave it out of the container. Overall good food, a little more expensive than my normal food. I liked trying it, but will probably stick with the pond pellets I am already using as the fish love them and do well on them. I would recommend for a few goldfish in an aquarium and will continue to use this as a supplement for my fish pond.

I am always worried about starting new foods or changing my fish food that I use. I have to say though I was pleasantly surprised by how good this food is. The ingredients are definitely better the food I was using, you can tell by comparing the ingredients, and it's not even close. These are a bit more expensive but I love how much better they are for my fish. They are a good size not too big and not too small. They also float which I prefer in my fish food, I feel like the fish find it easier and there is less left over if any at all. I would definitely give this fish food a A++

I have been caring for fish (both marine and fresh water) personally and professionally since 1968. Finding high quality digestible and nutritious food for goldfish had always been very difficult. I started using this product 3 months ago and the health, beauty and activity of our pond fish has never been equalled. I will never switch from this food as our pond is cleaner and our fish greet me like never before when I show them the container. Colors are vibrant and the fish eat it right up. Oh, I had tried pellets and they didn’t like them.

I wanted to try this to keep the algae down. Fish love it. I love fish :) My fish also adore eating figs, and this floats on the surface like fig seeds.Score key:⭐️ 1 star= Dissappointed. I don't recommend it at all, poor quality, or it does not reflect the advertising.⭐️⭐️ 2 stars = Has some reedeeming quality.⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars = It's passable. Might not have bothered.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars = Mostly Satisified.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars = Entirely Satisfied. Recommend.

It's kinda hard to properly evaluate food like this since it's for fish and they don't exactly speak to tell you what they do and don't enjoy. They eat it, obviously haven't died or anything like that, and seem to be acting fine so I assume it is adequate food. I'm not really sure how long I'd have to wait to see if this particular food enhances the goldfish color, but I'll update if there are any issues or changes

The flat pellets did float as advertised. My two goldfish at it just fine and no harm from it. The pellets are on the small side so not just full grown fish would be able to eat it. Mine just ate more of it, being larger.Not a large bottle so this would be a supplement.As for brightening their colors or anything of that sort, I have not had this long enough. But I so far have no reason to knock down the stars.

I have been using this to supplement my nano tank. The Apex Goldfish pellets are definitely designed for larger mouths than nano fish / shrimp but they do break down and get gobbled up quickly. Kinda impossible to provide any actual evidence that the food is great but I can confirm the fish are happy and healthy. For me, these work as a great supplement to the Tropical micro pellets.
